Our First Lady

Andrea Owens Bing is a native of Decatur, Illinois. She is the daughter of Rev. Sam Owens and Shirley Bond. Upon her graduation from high school she continued her education at Midstate College in Peoria, Illinois obtaining an AA degree in Fashion and Merchandising. She then moved to Augusta, Georgia where she met her husband Reverend Elliott Bing and the two were married in 1992.

First Lady Andrea has a passion for seeing God’s people reach their full potential. She is actively involved in the ministry of her husband and serves our church in various capacities. She is the Ministry Head for the Phillip Grove Gospel Choir and also serves in the Christian Education Ministry as the Vacation Bible School Director and Teen Bible study/Sunday School teacher. She is also a member of the Prayer Warriors Ministry. First Lady Andrea’s intense passion for children led Pastor Bing to appoint her to create a female mentoring ministry for young girls ages 13-18 called Girls to Pearls.

First Lady Andrea is a bi-vocational First Lady and is employed by the Burke County Tax Commissioners Office.
